Coach Julio started playing club volleyball when he was 7 years old back in Puerto Rico. Ever since then he has played at the elite level and has won AAU National Championships back-to-back as well as the USAV Boys Jr National Championship in the 13s division back in 2016. While also playing club, he was part of the Varsity team all four years of high school earning All- Metro team back in 2020 as well as the Team Manager for the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team who were awarded state runner-up back in 2021. Julio started his coaching career as an assistant coach to OTVA 13 Tanya back in 2020 in which he aided the team reach their goal of becoming AAU National Champions. He currently coaches at Rockhurst University. His priority as a coach, is to discipline players in the art of volleyball while also taking care of their mental, physical and social health.
